Jennifer L. Rousseau

Jennifer L. Rousseau focuses her practice on employment law, medical malpractice, professional liability, premises liability and insurance coverage law.

Representative Accomplishments

Ms. Rousseau played a substantial role in obtaining summary judgment on behalf of a commercial liability insurance carrier denying coverage for an underlying claim of emotional distress and related defense costs. On behalf of an employer, Ms. Rousseau persuaded the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination to issue a lack of probable cause finding in a case involving allegations of employment discrimination. As a law clerk for the Massachusetts Superior Court, she worked closely with various judges on preparing written decisions and jury instructions, as well as other aspects of trials, hearings and motion sessions.

Ms. Rousseau served as a law clerk for the Justices of the Massachusetts Superior Court in 2007-2009.

Ms. Rousseau is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, New Hampshire Bar Association, and Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. She is a shelter volunteer for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
