
Connor participates in seminar on chronic pain management
PROVIDENCE (October 24, 2011) – Frank Connor recently spoke at a seminar in Rhode Island on chronic pain management attended by approximately 200 physicians.
Connor’s presentation focused on the Rhode Island Intractable Pain Treatment Act, government rules and regulations on pain management, and actions by the Rhode Island Board of Medical Licensure & Discipline in this area of medicine.
Entitled “Chronic Pain and Opioids: Safe and Effective Management,” the seminar guided the audience on addressing the barriers to successful pain management, the laws regulating the prescription and dispensing of controlled substances, and implementing effective communication practices related to pain treatments.
Connor has extensive experience defending medical professionals in lawsuits alleging malpractice, as well as in investigations by state disciplinary boards. He also regularly advises professional groups, hospitals and insurance carriers on legislative and risk management matters.
